Tuesday, June 20, 2006 ::: MADONNA'S SECRET If you haven't already go and grab this amazing CD/DVD package now! Reasons why it's so great: 1. The documentary is quite good. The director did a good job in editing it, setting the mood right, cutting in the right songs at the right moments, all the random clips that made an impact - it's a display of Madonna's energy and vulnerbility, her dancers' adorable moments, and even her preachy Kabbalah messages sound alright to me. 2. No one can put on a show like the queen of pop herself. AMAZING amazing numbers include American Life, Music, Like A Prayer etc. And all the clips shown are just AMAZING. You just can't imagine how she transforms American Life from a dreadful song to a totally smokin performance - all the effects, the choreography, and the action on stage - you're brought into war zone and that is one awesome show. 3. You get a live CD to listen to! Don't you dig that! It's Madonna's FIRST live release in her 23 year career! 4. And it's not that expensive at all. Pay $100 and you actually get a coin back! 5. Mind you, that's for a 2 hour documentary and a live CD. And that's what I can call a good deal. The only disappointment is the fact that she mimed on several tracks, including the opening number Vogue. It's a great opener, you just can't enjoy it as much when you know she's miming. But at least you can give her credit to her for all the brilliant dance moves. She really can strike a pose. Her live shows are so great. Her Drowned World DVD is awesome, and I have a feeling that The Reinvention Tour could only be better because 1) it has a better setlist than Drowned World and 2) Drowned World lacks the depth that Reinvention has, which I'm sure to some peoeple is plain B.S. but at least I can really agree with the 'make peace' message and anti-Bush sentiments. ::: posted by Wings at 6/20/2006 03:55:00 AM
